Mail Center

A mail center (German abbreviation: BZ) is a regional center of Deutsche Post AG where all letter mail (publications, infopost, letters) for the delivery offices of the routing regions in that routing region (first two digits of the postcode) are sorted and distributed. The letters S, M, L, XL and XXL refer to the size of the mail center, which depends on the volume of mail that is processed there every day. There are mail centers that process inbound letter mail (BZE) and those that process outbound letter mail (BZA).
