Bpp
In image processing, the bpp (bits per pixel) unit specifies the number of colors per pixel and respectively the number of possible colors or grayscales. The typical values are: * 1-bit: 2 colors, black and white (monochrome) * 4-bit: 16 colors * 8-bit: 256 colors * 16-bit: 65536 colors * 24-bit: 16777216 colors, usually 8 bits each for red, green, and blue, so that each color component can be specified on a scale from 0 to 255
