PGP

PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is an encryption software that enables the creation of electronic signatures. Basis of the encryption is a Publickey cryptography. It uses a public key of the sender to encrypt the data for the recipient. On the receiver side, a password protected private key, known only to the recipient, is used to decrypt the message. In the Compart environment, PGP encryption is used by Support to ensure the safe transfer of confidential data. On the other hand, PGP is also used by the Compart software DocBridge Pilot in interactions with the DPAG regarding E-POSTBRIEF transmissions. Special folders are created to store and manage public and private keys.
