AES
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a symmetric encryption method which has been recognized as a standard by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in October 2000 and is authorized in the U.S. The algorithm has a variable key length of 128, 192, or 256 bit by which the three AES variants AES-128, AES-192, and AES-256 are distinguished. AES is freely available and requires no license for implementation.
