Actual Text

Actual text is specified in order to create accessible documents. Sometimes graphics are used to represent characters in a text. These graphics require a special solution that differs from alternate text; a solution in which the character represented by the graphic is simply pronounced as part of a word or read as a specific character. In such cases actual text is used to describe the text representation of the graphic which causes the text to be read inline as part of the word.
