De-Mail, Without a Letter But With a Stamp of Approval

Peter Kleimeier, Telekom Deutschland GmbH

Abstract

Secured through one single law

With the De-Mail law, the legislator has for the first time created an opportunity for companies to replace a large part of their postal and fax correspondence with an electronic medium – and also to offer the same level of security and capacity should it be questioned.
De-mail law and guidelines set clear standards and demand very high standards from the provider, so that a secure and traceable electronic communication is guaranteed. Therefore De-Mail may only be offered by providers such as Telekom who are certified by the state.

The De-Mail principle: Simple and Secure

When you send a De-Mail, it is not sent via the open network, but via a secure, state tested system. Al participants are clearly recognized by their personal De-Mail address. Use De-Mail for efficient, fast and traceable communication with customers, suppliers, partners and employees.

Develop more efficient processes and reduce operating costs

Whether a large Enterprise  or freelancer– all companies can profit from De-Mail. Why not offer your customers the possibility to contact quickly, securely and in a simple way? It saves paper, time and money, and customer satisfaction increases considerably too.
