LPR
Das Line Printer Remote (LPR) Protokoll ist ein Netzwerkprotokoll für die Übermittlung von Druck-Jobs an einen Remote-Drucker. Die Protokoll-Spezifikation ist im RFC-1179 beschrieben. Das Common Unix Printing System (oder CUPS), das in modernen Linux Distributionen häufig verwendet wird, unterstützt sowohl LPR als auch das Internet Printing Protocol (IPP).
